Fue Hair Transplant

WHAT IS FUE HAIR TRANSPLANT?

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) has become the most attractive method of Hair Transplantation for many due to its non-invasive technique and the minimal down time you will require post procedure.

Performed under local anaesthetic, our FUE procedure involves the harvesting of individual hair follicles from the donor site at the back of the head using a tiny 0.8 - 1mm punch which creates an incision around the top of the follicle and extracts them directly from the scalp. The FUE method allows our surgeon to complete the procedure without leaving any linear scarring.

1  Punch incision holes around follicles

2   Extraction of follicular units

3   Harvesting of the grafts

4   Implantation of the grafts

With our FUE your donor area is shaven prior to the procedure and once the Follicular units have been harvested, our surgeon will then artistically create tiny incisions in the recipient area to replicate your natural direction of hair growth. Finally, the donor follicular units are placed into the open incisions to complete the procedure.

The FUE method ensures that the recovery period for the patient is as short as possible allowing each patient to quickly return to their normal lifestyle.

Because there is no linear scarring, FUE also allows each patient to maintain any hair style that they choose post procedure including a shaven or sharply graded style.
